I arrived at the Maroon Bells near Aspen, Colorado, at 4am to photograph the full moon over the Bells. However, the clouds hung around for most of the morning. I hiked up to Crater Lake to photograph that area as the clouds began to dissipate. Late in the morning on my return to the car, I could not pass up the chance to photograph the friendly Canada Geese that seemed undeterred by my presence. This Colorado image was taken on a nearly perfect July morning.
