The scent of Texas Bluebonnets from this field was so strong it lingered on my clothing on the two hour drive home. I've been seeking out wildflower fields in the Texas Hill Country for many years, and on this evening I found one of the most amazing scenes I've ever run across. The air was absolutely still, the bluebonnets were at peak - full of color and motionless - and the only sounds to be heard were the cows in the next field. This is one of my favorite images of a Texas bluebonnet field.
