Maroon Bells Images - Columbine at Sunrise 1
I did not think I'd have much color in the sky on this morning. But when the clouds lit up at the Maroon Bells, I found myself between Maroon Lake and Crater Lake, I quickly rushed to find a decent compostion. Fortunately, just around the bend on the dirt trail I found a patch of Columbine, Colorado's state wildflower. This little group of blue and whilte natives gave me just the foreground I needed to contrast with the sun lighting up Maroon and North Maroon Peak, 2 of Colorado's grand 14ers. This Colorado landscape was taken in the early morning during a peaceful July sunrise.
